For: Prommt account administrators responsible for account setup.
π Where to find it
Go to Settings β Notifications in your Prommt dashboard.
π What are notifications?
Notifications are internal alerts sent to your team when specific payment events occur on your account β such as a payment being received, a payment failing, or a refund being processed. They're separate from the receipts sent to your customers.
Setting up notifications means your team stays informed in real time without having to manually check the dashboard.
βοΈ Settings explained
Enable Notifications
The master toggle that turns notifications on for your account. All other settings on this page are only active when this is enabled.
Choose Channel
Select how you want notifications delivered to your team:
Email Notifications β alerts sent by email
SMS Notifications β alerts sent by text message
You can enable one or both channels depending on your team's preference.
Choose Recipients
Select which users on your account should receive notifications. Use the dropdown to choose from your account's user list.
Note: A user must have logged into the Prommt account at least once before they will appear in this dropdown. If a team member isn't showing, ask them to log in first and then return to this page to add them.
You can also check Notify the user who sent the request β when enabled, the individual team member who sent a payment request will receive a notification when that specific request has an event, in addition to any recipients selected above.
Send alerts for the following events
Choose which payment events trigger a notification. Each can be enabled independently:
Event | What it means |
Payment Received | A customer has successfully completed a payment |
Payment Failed | A payment attempt by a customer has failed |
Plan Unsubscribed | A customer has opted out of an Autocharge plan |
Refunds | A refund has been processed on a payment |
Message Failed | A payment request message failed to deliver to the customer |
We recommend enabling at least Payment Received, Payment Failed, and Message Failed as a baseline β these cover the events most likely to require an immediate response from your team.
πΎ Saving your changes
Once you've configured your notifications, click Save Changes. To discard any unsaved changes, click Discard.
Troubleshooting
My team isn't receiving notifications. Check that Enable Notifications is toggled on and that the correct recipients and channels are selected and saved. Also confirm the email addresses and mobile numbers on your users' accounts are correct.
I only want to be notified about my own payment requests, not everyone's. Enable Notify the user who sent the request and remove yourself from the general recipients list. You'll then only receive notifications for requests you personally sent.
We're getting too many notifications. Review the event checkboxes and deselect any that aren't relevant to your day-to-day workflow. For example, if your finance team handles refunds separately, you may not need the whole team notified on every refund event.
